Get yourself over to Australia with one of these great deals

The lovely people at Cathay Pacific are treating us all to some special flight offers to get to the fabulous land of Australia this year 2010 AND next year 2011. Hmm, don’t rule out booking 2 trips is my thinking!

Starting today (10th September 2010), with booking possible until the end of 15th September 2010,  you can get yourself on a lovely airplane to Australia via Hong Kong for less than £700. We like!

The special cheap sale fares to Australia start at just £689 for travel between 01 November—30 November 2010 and also 26 April—31 May 2011 (half-term holiday in that one, take note). According to Cathay this makes it “impossible to stay at home” — yeah I reckon 🙂

The cheap flights are not to all Australian destinations BUT with 4 major cities to choose from you’ll be right (to coin an Aussie phrase). And don’t forget you can pick up super-cheap internal flights with Virigin Blue and other low cost Australian domestic airlines to whiz around when you’re there.

  • London to  Brisbane return flights are £709: great for some Queensland sunshine in November or April—May (or drop down to Northern New South Wales to Byron Bay and surrounds).
  • London to the lovely Melbourne is just £689: the sun should be coming out in November as it’s Springtime, perfect for a stroll in the beautiful botanic gardens or a trip along the Great Ocean Road.
  • London to Perth in Western Australia is a very wallet-friendly £689: Spring in November is a fantastic time to visit Margaret River or enjoy the beaches of Perth or Rottnest island before the ‘summer holidays’.
  • London to the wonderful Sydney £709: any time is a good time to visit Sydney, but springtime in November should bring beach weather, and perfect bridge climbing conditions (if you’re up for that!).

You’ve gotta go online to book these cheap flights with Cathay Pacific to Australia so here’s the link

And if you need some help with lovely hotels and places to stay and getting around when you get to Australia… as ever my vote for holiday help is the fabulous Bridge & Wickers.
