Mr & Mrs Smith announce 13 amazing places to stay in Australia
The boutique and luxury hotel experts (as described in their own words, and pretty accurately!) Mr & Mrs Smith have been on their hols Down Under. What a trip it must have been… and one that I am VERY envious of!

They have just released a list of 13 amazing places to stay in the land of Oz, and if you are looking for somewhere a bit special then this would be a very good place to start.
First up they have Bamurru Plains in the Top End (Northern Territory), which I would like to point out I have already shared with you! Here’s my post and here’s the Mr & Mrs Smith write up.
The Diamant Hotel is a very good choice for a Sydney stay, and we chatted to one of the owners when this was being built while we stayed at his then current hotel — The Altamont (a cheaper, and much less luxurious choice!) round the corner on our trip a couple of years ago. The Diamant is in a good spot for night life and not too far from the city centre and circular quay, on a longish but pleasant walk (for the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House via the botanic gardens).
The Smiths have also picked out some cracking city hotels such as The Prince in St Kilda (make sure you’re feeling ‘cool’ when you book here!), and two of my ‘one day I’ll visit’ dream islands — Bedarra and Lizard.
Add to that the amazingness of Longitude 131 at Uluru, and the ‘I could pretend to be Nicole Kidman… now where is Hugh Jackman’-ness of the El Questro Homestead, and I’m starting to get rather over-excited. (That’s a reference to the about to be released, and of course I am very excited about, Australia film by the talented Baz Luhrman, in case you didn’t follow!).
I’m hoping this lovely write-up today will mean I might get asked to review the next batch of properties Down Under as Mrs Smith? Finger’s crossed!
