As reported in the Sunday Times yesterday, a holiday to Australia is now cheaper than a holiday to Turkey!
The article compared a trip organised by Qantas holidays, that included flights and hotels in Sydney and Cairns at cost of £899, with a 2-week holiday in a 3-star resort in Turkey on sale with Thomas Cook for £5 more.
One of my questions this week (you can ask me anything you like about flights and holidays to Australia here, by the way) was ideas of places to stay in New South Wales with 4—5 hours drive North of Sydney.
OK, so am getting VERY fed up getting non-stop emails advertising bargain flights to Australia (‘cos I’m not booked to go!), but there are some more new offers now that I REALLY should share. And a discovery I’ve made that looks less of a bargain, but turns out it’s quite a bargain when you start doing some sums!
So, first up here’s a couple of new offers… they might sound familiar, but lots of the deals only last a few days, so ones I’ve written about already have expired. But don’t worry — here’s some more ways to get to Australia for under £500…

I know these posts might be getting a bit boring (or annoying!), but really I can’t not share these bargains.
Malaysian Airlines have a sale on right now (book by 6th March) with Perth return in May 2009 for £499 (if you book with Travelmood). And you can also travel in March (including this week?!) for only a few £ more (£10 in fact) if you book with Net Flights — you only pay £509 return to Perth from now until the end of June.
