OK, so yes, I left it to the last day to apply for The Best Job in the World, but then there was a deadline for a reason and as the web site says — “Applications are still open…”
And, yes, the applications are in theory still ‘open’ but I have spent (and Mr Loves Australia too) trying to complete the application form and upload our video for the past almost 6 hours…
OK, so not content with the AMAZING fares from Singapore Airlines and Qantas and Emirates I already wrote about this week (£539 to Perth anyone?), but now Cathay Pacific are offering return flights to Adelaide for £499. Yes — change from £500! 2 flights for under a grand!… and the chance to stop-over in Hong Kong too.
Phew, it’s just getting way too tempting for me now…

It has been distressing to see all the devastation caused and lives lost in the bush fires, which took hold in the rural areas of Victoria, Australia, in the past week.
The British Red Cross have set up an appeal, so you can donate money that will be used to care for the thousands of people who have been made homeless as a result of the bush fires.

When I warned of the high temperatures in Victoria and South Australia a couple of weeks ago, never did I imagine the worst bush fires on record in Australia were about to come.
